1 Contents and Intentions

These pages describe a bundle of projects which are not necessary related, and which serve very different purposes, when seen in their own right. But they act together, closely coupled, when applied in the fields of computer music, namely to "score controlled sound synthesis" and "real-time audio processing".

The major projects are

• tsig
  --- a language for real-time stream processing, intended esp. for audio signals, but applicable to any kind of time-indexed data.
• tscore
  --- a generic language to denotate "muscial scores" in the widest sense, i.e. to define temporally indexed data on a symbolic level.
• CWN
  --- an instantiation of tscore, defining the basic entity catalogs, score formats and processing algorithms for "Conventional Western Notation", i.e. the standard notation system for music used from the seventeenth century until today.

Then there are some additional, minor topics:

• score2sig .
  --- dealing with the "plugging together" score data and sound synthesis. This topic is called "score driven sound synthesis" or simply "score synthesis" in the terminology of electronic music.
• utilities .
  --- a mixed collection of auxiliary classes, esp. dealing with "MusicXML".

All the following documentation pages are accompanied by the parallel API DOC.

Additionally, there are some publications on their way.
